San Jose, California, 21 June 2021 – Sharper Shape brings in a seasoned executive to strengthen their customer development team and support the company’s ongoing growth in the US.

Kristy K McDermott joins as Vice President, Sales and Commercial Processes North America.

This appointment signals Sharper Shape’s continued momentum in the US, representing the next step in a targeted strategic growth plan to scale the company’s reach and offering for utilities in the country.

McDermott brings to Sharper Shape over 25 years of experience in leadership roles with technology and utility companies, giving her great insight into working with electric and telecommunication utilities. With a career spanning both start-up and scale-up business, she understands the specific challenges of achieving growth in the sector.

As Vice President of Business Development for Pioneer Holding, a new start-up partnership between MCI, Northwest Iowa Power Cooperative and Long Lines, McDermott successfully led the rollout of home fiber connections to the customers of over 25 municipally owned electric utilities. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting from the University of Iowa.
