of Utility Assets
One Flight, Many Apps
For providing a comprehensive examination of all assets within a utility corridor, nothing comes close to Sharper Shape’s Consolidated Linear Inspection (CLI) service. Consolidated inspections simultaneously captures a range of useful data types in a single flight using our Sharperscope 5.0 multi-sensor payload for drones or the new Heliscope™ 2.0 for manned helicopters. In either case, once the aircraft is back on the ground, Sharper Shape’s Pilot application manages the transfer of data to our cloud-based processing system, where a combination of human inspectors and intelligent software algorithms quickly develop actionable inspection reports.

Process & Visualisation
Consolidated Linear Inspections need long-range capability, and the Sharper A6 is our optimized drone solution for BVLOS flight operations. The A6 is capable of easily carrying the Sharperscope Drone 5.0 sensor system, which includes LiDAR, HD video, Nadir/Oblique photos, and Infrared camera in one compact package.
The Heliscope™ 2.0 integrates multiple sensor systems into a single, lightweight helicopter payload. The Heliscope™ 2.0 features three Nikon cameras providing front, rear and straight down (nadir) angles at high frame rates, two FLIR infrared cameras, a HD video camera, a nadir NDVI camera, and a state of the art Riegl LiDAR scanner with a survey grade Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
CLI relies on the Sharper Inspector for examining visual data and building a database of inspection notes. LiDAR data is automatically evaluated for vegetation management issues. The Sharper Viewer serves as the method by which the customer can view and interact with inspection reports generated by both the Sharper Inspector and the Sharper Clearance Analyzer.
The Sharper Pilot supports drone field crews by delivering automated flight planning, autonomous flight control of the drone, and post-flight data management functions.
The Sharper Inspector greatly accelerates visual data analysis by grouping all images and LiDAR data together based on geolocation, and presenting them side by side in a highly customizable display.
The Sharper Clearance Analyzer has the unique ability to algorithmically detect and classify vegetation issues throughout the inspection zone. Issues detected are colorized to visually highlight all identified areas of concern.
Inspection data can be digitally transferred to most customer’s existing Asset Management or Geographical Information Systems.
Sharper Shape’s Consolidated Linear Inspection service delivers a range of maintenance and engineering information – as well as detailed vegetation management data – all within the responsive online Sharper Viewer application. Optionally, data can be output in a variety of formats to fit into the customer’s existing maintenance workflows.
